Wanaroam wasn't built by a team of professionals in a fancy office.  

(We'll get there someday, except substitute "fancy office" with "cool loft".  

On April 8th, 2019, Dee posted a picture on Instagram about a friend’s Yoga/Humanitarian retreat in Bali as an opportunity to invite those who love to actively travel and contribute simultaneously. We had been following each other on social media for many years constantly supporting one another through comments, likes, and DM’s. Without knowing each other personally, Wendy automatically placed her deposit for the trip 5 months ahead! What a doer!!! So at this point, we decided it was only right to grab a cup of coffee and finally meet in person. 

 This was the exact moment a business partnership and most importantly, a friendship was created. Our passion for roaming new places and indulging in deeper connections aligned. Then, our search for travel gear for our trip to Bali began. However, we quickly came across a roadblock searching for backpacks. The backpacks we’d find were either too bulky, too tiny, too ordinary, way too expensive, etc. Why couldn’t we just create a backpack that was perfect for US??? Oh wait, we could…… aaaand that’s exactly when Wanaroam was born. 

 We made the conscious decision to sign up for the fun and unpredictable journey that is called entrepreneurship. We’re excited for the road ahead and hope that our roaming paths cross with yours. May you always, #RoamWithPurpose. - Wendy & Dee
